Schinken Nudel – (German for Ham and Noodles)

005This is a German, quick go to meal, that my family enjoys very much.  It is quick and easy and price efficient as well.

1 pound noodles of your choice

Ham (I used a ham steak that was purchased at Costco)

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

Pre-cook the noodles until they are aldente.  001

Put the olive oil into a large fry pan on medium high heat. Cut the Schinken (ham) into cubes and fry in the pan until it starts to turn crispy. 002

Once the ham is starting to crisp – add the noodles.  At this time I add the spices as well.  003

Continue to fry, stirring often until the noodles start to crisp as well.  004Right before I serve this dish I put about 3 tablespoons of shredded Parmesan cheese on top. Serve with a green side salad and maybe a glass of wine. Enjoy!
