Crockpot Lasagna


Yes you read correctly – I did say Crockpot Lasagna and it is fabulous!!!!!  The recipe is from the website Crockin’ Girls and you can visit them here. They have many fabulous recipes and this is just one of the many I have made.


1 pound hamburger meat

1 Jar marinara sauce

1 pound Ricotta cheese

1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

1 egg, beaten

salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste



Brown the hamburger meat in a pan until no longer pink.  I use low fat ground beef so I don’t have any excess fat but if you have some – drain.  Add the marinara sauce and spices and simmer for about 15 minutes to combine flavors.

003While the sauce simmers, combine the Ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and the egg in a bowl.


Spray your crockpot with nonstick cooking spray – makes for easier clean up later.  Start layering – beginning with sauce, then noodles (you may have to break the noodles so that they will fit in) followed by the cheese mixture.

Keep layering until everything has been used up (about 3 layers). I make sure sauce is my last layer and then top it off with a bit of mozzarella cheese. 


Cook on low for 3 hours – anything longer will burn the noodles.  Enjoy!
