This is a very simple, yet delicious recipe that is perfect comfort food.  I served it tonight with mashed potatoes and corn.


1 pound lean ground beef

1/2 cup bread crumbs

1 egg

1/2 tablespoons Italian Seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon ketchup

dash of pepper



Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees.  Place all ingredients into a mediums size bowl and use a fork/or hands to mix until combined.

2013-02-19_15-23-43_835Once combined, form into a loaf and place in a covered baking dish.  Mine is from Pampered Chef and does not require any greasing.  I would recommend spraying your covered baker with cooking spray.


Place in the oven for 45 – 50 minutes until brown and crispy on the  outside and no longer pink on the inside. I forgot to take a picture of the completed meatloaf.  I will try to post a picture the next time I make it.  I hope you enjoy!
