As of late I have been enjoying some “Green Smoothies”. It is a great way to get fruits and vegetables in your day and feel satisfied as well. I like to have my green smoothie mid-morning.
Here is the recipe that I have been using:
1/4 cup shredded carrots
1 cup fresh, organic spinach (look out Popeye)
1 small orange (or 1/2 if a large orange) peeled
1 small apple (cored and chopped – no need to peel
1/2 small cucumber (those Persian kind – but I found these at Costco and they almost look like pickles. They are so small I put two in. ) Cut off the ends and cut into large chunks. No need to peel.
1 cup frozen mangos
a little water to ease in blending
