Plenty going on this week at the Haus. The boy turns 16!!! How can that be? Seems like only a little while ago we brought home a little bundle and now he is already a fine young man. We also celebrate my Granddaughters birthday this week. She is turning 6 and so proud to be attending kindergarten and learning to read. She is a true joy! My daughter is doing a wonderful job as a Mom.
We are celebrating birthdays but are still not celebrating fall. It has cooled a bit at night but day temps are still above 80. I have decided to boycotte the heat and add some casseroles and even a soup to the menu.
I will be trying two new recipes this week; Bacon Cheesburger Pasta and Mexican Rice Bake. Hope you will try them as well, or perhaps you will try some of my family favorites from my recipe page.
I welcome all comments and questions. Thank you to those followers who commented on last weeks menu choices.
Tuesday: Chicken Fried Rice
Wednesday: Crockpot Lasagna
Thursday: Mexican Rice Bake – Gluten Free
Friday: Potato Soup with Kielbasa Sausage (I do have a homemade potato soup recipe but am keeping it simple this week and using the premade kind. I promise to make from scratch next time and post the recipe)
Hope you all have a wonderful week! Until next time – happy cooking!
