Weekly Menu for the Week of April 10 – April 14

It seems that I have resorted back to planning menus one week at a time.  Though I do still make a monthly Costco run, I find it easier to plan one week at a time.  Lately I seem to be in a menu planning rut.  I don’t seem to have to many fabulous recipes in mind to make, so this week I spent some time on Pinterest.

I love Pinterest for inspirations on crafting, decorating, even camping.  I am sure you all have Pinterst boards as well.  I have pinned several new ideas to my “Recipes to Try Board” so this week – lets give a few a try!

Monday: Crockpot Bacon, Mushroom Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Salad (How can anything containing Bacon not be good! Can’t wait to try this one)

Tuesday:  Baked Beef Tacos

Wednesday:  Hamburgers and French Fries (I have a dinner meeting so I am keeping it simple for the boys)

Thursday:  Slowcooker Beef on Rice

Friday:  Spaghetti with Marinara Sauce and green salad

I hope these menus give you some inspiration.  If you try them, please share with me!

Where do you get your menu inspirations?

Have a GREAT week –

Menu for the Week of March 27 – March 31

Hello All!  I am a little late posting my menu for the week.  I kind of messed up before my little trip away to Idyllwild.  I misplanned and we were running low on groceries last week.  I should have planned for 2 weeks to cover the week after my trip, but oops – life happens – so no formal menu was planned and we were just winging it.

This week I do have a menu plan, hoever, it is only for one week. This coming weekend we will do our Costco shopping so I can get back on my 2 week program.

I know you are anxious to see what I will be cooking – so here goes….

Monday: Old Settler Beans – this recipe was posted on my fellow bloggers page (It’s A T-Sweets Day) and they were delicious!  Click here for the link to her recipe.

Tuesday: Chicken and White Bean Enchilladas

Wednesday: Slow Cooker Italian Beef Hoagies

Thursday: Slow Cooker Chilli

Friday: Asparagus Lemon Risotto

Hope you have a great week.  Remember if you try any of these recipes to let me know what you think.

Until next time – Auf Wiedersehen!

Thursday: Chicken Pesto Pasta, salad

Friday: Hungarian Goulash, noodles, green beans

2/20/2017 – 2/24/2017

Monday: Spaghetti Cabonara, salad

0I have a treat for you this week!  In my last menu post I mentioned that I had been watching the You Tube Channel “How Jen Does It”.  I love her recipes. They are simple, delicious, and easy to make.  She also plans menus 2 or even 4 weeks in advance.  I have decided to try and plan 2 weeks at a time and see if I can maybe save money on groceries as well.

This week I spent $140 at Trader Joes and $260 at Costco.  The Trader Joes items will last me 2 weeks and Costco will last me a bit longer – maybe even through the end of the month.  I will only need to pick up a few things on the weekend like Milk andsome fresh fruit.

So here is my menu for two weeks!

Where do you find inspiration for cooking?  I sometimes feel that I resort to cooking the same things over and over.  Do you ever feel that way?  I try to find new and improved methods for cooking and try to bring in new ingredients at least once or twice a week.  I often find inspirations on other blogs or on Pinterest. This week I dug out the cookbooks to find a few new ideas.

Here is what is cooking at our Haus this week:

Monday: Pecan Crusted Chicken (recipe from the Pampered Chef)

Tuesday: Beef Stew
